Plum Gin and Tonic

Ingredients

Plum Syrup

  • 1 1/2 plums pitted and diced reserve other 1/2 for garnish
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 strip orange zest
  • 2 sprig thyme

Plum Gin and Tonic

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce plum syrup
  • 4-5 ounces tonic
  • plum slices, orange zest, and/or thyme for garnish

Instructions

Plum Syrup

  • Add all of the ingredients to a small pot. Place over high heat until it comes to a simmer. Reduce to low and cook until the fruit begins to break down about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and pass through a strainer. Cool before serving. Store in the refrigerator.

Plum Gin and Tonic

  • In a glass, mix the gin and the plum syrup. Fill the glass with ice. Top with tonic and stir. Garnish with plum slices, thyme, and/or orange zest.
