Plum, thyme, and orange infused gin and tonic.
I’m getting plum crazy this week with a few posts inspired by the beautiful color and delicate flavor of plums.

My first inspiration was for this refreshing summer cocktail. Gin and tonics are light and fizzy on their own. But with the sweetness of the plums, this G.N.T. becomes a cocktail you can relax outside on a hot day with and say ahh after every sip.

I was a little undecided on how to get the fruit flavor into the drink. I thought about muddling the plums, but honestly, I hate having to muddle every time I want to mix a cocktail. So I decided to infuse simple syrup with orange zest, thyme, and plums instead. The syrup turned out perfectly. All of the flavors, with none of the hassle!
